For Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Realistic', my ass!'

From what I've seen on gameplay videos, it's 'slightly' realistic (Keyword = Slightly, with quotation marks). Although, it depends on what you (OP) classify as realistic. If your defintion of realistic is almost exactly what would be done in real life, then this game is no where near that. In fact, it's as far away from being as can be. Of course the physics for walls breaking and such might be realistic, but as far as the tactics, breaching, basically everything a real SWAT member or Counter Terrorist operative would do, is way too far from the truth. For a game that does the above, look at SWAT 4, made by Irrational Games.

That's way more realistic than this game will ever be.But, what do I know? I haven't even played the game, except for SWAT 4. In which case, I can tell you this game is nothing like or even close to SWAT 4, let alone the things real SWAT units would do/Counter Terrorist operatives. It looks closer to Battlefield physics, with slow paced Call of Duty, in my opinion at least. It's a video game and as much as video games like to say they're realistic, I think that is and will continue to be an extremely difficult thing to achieve. Is it a fun MP shooter? I say yes, especially if you have 4 friends to play with.

The battles are fast and intense and if you're the last man standing against a full enemy team and you somehow manage to get them all you can feel pretty amazing. If you like one shot kills then you'll also enjoy this. The one bit I didn't like initially is that you have to earn renown to unlock all the operators, however, by the end of one week of playing you should have about 8 or so unlocked which is more than enough.
