Usb Drive Showing Less Space
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere but I wasn't sure how to search for this. Not even sure if the title makes sense.Basically my c drive is a 148GB drive. When going to Computer the C drive shows that I only have 20GB free and 128GB used. But if I open the C drive, select all the contents and click on properties, it says the combined amount or size on disk is only 68.3GB.Heres a link to a screen shot: if the properties window is correct and Im only using 68GB then I should have an additional 80GB free.Ive run disk clean, emptied the trash, ran ccleaner and my system defrags once a week.Any ideas whats going on here? Thanks! ClintPlease post a copy of a chkdsk report on your C partition select Start, Run, type 'cmd' without quotes in the box and press the ENTER key. Type chkdsk and press the ENTER key and a report, detailing amongst other things a summary of how the disk spaceis utilised, is provided. If you want a report on a partition or drive other than C you need to go to that partition. To access F, where F is the required partition you type F: and press the ENTER key.Copying reports from a command prompt can be tricky.
