Borderlands 2 Farm The Warrior

Posted on  by admin

Oct 23, 2012  Anyone else having massive issues in farming the warrior. I've killed him 100+ times over 4 days and I'm yet to get a single orange weapon nevermind conference call. It just seems like the drop rate for orange weapons are rediculously low. I've been lucky to get the bee, but have also been farming several other bosses for up to 50 kills without any luck.

Borderlands 2 Farm The Warrior Series

You are doing it wrong! The warrior was created by Gearbox so that it only drops orange the first time you fight it. To get it to drop orange nore than once you need to get to the cave as a new character, copy that character to somewhere safe. You then fight Jack and the Warrior. The warrior is almost certain to drop orange; a shield, a volcano, grenade mod, or a CC. To farm the warrior, you have to copy the sav file you backed-up back in to your game files, then you fight Jack and the Warrior again. If you dont do it exactly that way, you are wasting your time.

Farm

It won't drop an orange no matter how may time you kill it. The orange is designed to fall on the raised section in front of the control panel, so it is nearly always on or close to that.

This is asinine, I've never gotten oranges on any of his first deaths, and I've gotten 3 oranges from him from farming him. Granted they weren't what I wanted, but they still dropped.Odds are a funny thing, you can go for days and get jack squat, then you can get a lucky streak and get tons.

Still find drop rates obnoxiously low for a non MMO game.

You definitely can walk to any boss in the game and farm them again. If you are comfortable with Hero's Pass and The Warrior, go for it (all the rest are lower level on Normal anyway). If you are not opposed to getting DLC, I'd say go for it - playing new content is always more interesting than farming old places. Some DLC is explicitly designed to be played after the main quest, and level up to 35.Being 33 is perfecly fine to start TVHM at - if you go with farming, do not press yourself too hard.By the way, Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition is - it may be a better deal considering DLCs.
